Emeritus Professor Datuk Dr. Mohd Tajudin Ninggal widely known as "Prof Taj", is a Registered Professional Counselor, Certified Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), and a trained Counseling Psychologist from the United States. He actively provides professional services using an integrative counseling approach to government agencies, corporate sectors, colleges and universities, professional bodies, expatriates, NGOs, and the general public. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Education (Honors) (Guidance & Counseling) from Universiti Putra Malaysia, a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology, and a Ph.D. in Counseling & Supervision from Western Michigan University, USA. Professor Tajudin is the author behind Malaysia's first online Smart Psychology System, established in 2003. Known as TAJMA, this system includes two bilingual software applications: TAJMA Personality Profile Plus (TPP+) and TAJMA Career Interest Profile Plus (TCIP+). With over 33 years of professional experience in counseling psychology, his expertise spans psychological testing and assessment, corporate coaching, stress management, individual and group counseling, career counseling, marriage and family counseling, LGBTQ counselling, and cross-cultural counseling. To date, he has conducted TAJMA psychometric profiling and assessments for over 50,000 individuals across various age groups, genders, and occupational sectors.
Professor Tajudin has served as a Member of the Malaysian Counseling Board, a Member of the Counseling Advisory Council Malaysia, Secretary and Vice President of the Malaysia Counseling Association (PERKAMA International). He is also the co-founder, lifetime member, and former Vice President I of the Malaysian Psychometric Association (MPA). Actively engaged in international counseling, he is a Professional Member of the American Counseling Association (ACA), the British Association of Counseling and Psychotherapy (BACP), and the Association of Psychological and Educational Counselors of Asia-Pacific (APECA). Recognizing his expertise, he was appointed as a cross-cultural counseling consultant by the Michigan Judicial Institute (MJI), USA, for a period of six years.
Professor Tajudin is also the founder of the Al-Ghazali Psychospiritual Counseling Approach and actively contributes to research and scholarly writing. He has authored seven books on counseling and student development and has presented over 200 scholastic papers at national and international levels over the past decade. Currently, Professor Tajudin serves as a Visiting Psychological Consultant at Twin-Towers Medical Centre, KLCC, Kuala Lumpur, and holds the position of Eminent Visiting Professor at Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD).
